What you can expect
Every scar tells a story and our scar rejuvenation clinic doctor will begin by categorising your scar into one of the following areas:
- Atrophic (sunken scars)
- Keloid (large, bulky scars that have grown beyond the initial perimeters)
- Hypertrophic (elevated, thickened and often wide scars)
- Contracted (restricted pulling of skin tissue, often resulting from burns)
Each scar category requires a unique combination of rejuvenation therapies in order to reduce or eliminate the underlying scar tissue.
